About Eva Mason, Sinfonette Director

We welcome Eva Mason as our new Sinfonette Director this year!

Eva Mason is an educator and musician with a background in group and private string lessons, classroom music, and ensemble leadership. Graduating with a BA in English and a Minor in Music from Walla Walla University, she continues training in music pedagogy through the Suzuki Association of the Americas. She has worked for the past 20 years to nurture young minds and foster a love for music both as a violinist and violist and as a K-12 school music teacher. In her free time, she enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking and backpacking in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

Eva began her musical journey on the violin at the age of 3 in the suburbs of New Jersey.  During her university years she performed with the New England Youth Ensemble touring over 15 different countries and performing in places such as the Roman amphitheater in Amman Jordan, Ely Cathedral in Great Britain, and Krestovsky Stadium in Moscow, Russia among others.  The group also performed regularly in Carnegie Hall as the accompanying orchestra for large choirs under the direction of John Rutter and other talented conductors.

Currently Eva is serving as the head of the music department at Skagit Adventist Academy in Burlington, Washington.
